It's easy to create an opaque finish with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, but it is equally simple to create a stained finish which allows the beauty of the wood to shine through.
All you need to create a stained finish is Chalk Paint, water and a cloth.
This technique needs to be used on untreated wood. Just apply a quick coat of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, wipe it off with a damp cloth and leave to dry.
Sherry used Burgandy Chalk Paint which has added a vibrancy to the wood, yet it allows the grain to shine through.
