Staining Wood With Annie Sloan Chalk Paint

Annie Sloan Chalk Paint is great if you want to create an opaque finish, but you can also use it to create a stained wood look.

It's easy to create an opaque finish with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, but it is equally simple to create a stained finish which allows the beauty of the wood to shine through.

All you need to create a stained finish is Chalk Paint, water and a cloth.

This technique needs to be used on untreated wood. Just apply a quick coat of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, wipe it off with a damp cloth and leave to dry.

Sherry used Burgandy Chalk Paint which has added a vibrancy to the wood, yet it allows the grain to shine through.
